One of the benefits of living in Southern California is the ability to visit the mountains and the ocean in the same day!! After going for a hike in the morning, I went Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in Escondido Canyon Beach, where there is a gentle surf entry and a slight eastern wind/current that carried us gently down the coast. Visiting kelp beds and using the kelp to anchor us so we could take a few breaks out on the water, there is nothing like being out on the ocean with only the sound of the surf and the breeze!!
