Outdoor Skills Training

Introduction to Rock Climbing $125

8hrs

This introductory course covers basic equipment orientation, principles of climbing, climbing techniques, top-rope systems, belaying and rappelling.

Orienteering/Map Reading/Land Navigation $125

3 hrs

This introductory course will cover use of USGS/topo maps, reading topography, UTM coordinates, triangulation of location, using a map & compass, using GPS, using wilderness orienteering in the city, etc.

Rope Rescue Systems Workshop $175

4 hrs

Introduction to Rescue Systems: Anchors, Belays, Raising Systems, Lowering Systems. Knots and rope work used in basic rescue systems and how they can apply to backcountry self rescue.


 

First Aid/Medical Skills Training

First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (In Person Group Class) $125 per person (4 person Minimum)

This course is designed to meet OSHA regulations and teaches basic first aid skills. The course provides IN PERSON training for individuals needing credentialed training for job or regulatory requirements. This hands-on class teaches individuals how to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking.

Family & Friends CPR (In Person Group Class) $50 per person (4 person Minimum)

2 hrs

Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR and prefer to learn in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment, but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job.

Family & Friends CPR will cover Adult Hands-Only® CPR, Child & Infant CPR, Adult/Child /Infant Choking, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.


 

Firearms Training

NRA Basic Pistol Class $225

8hrs

The NRA Basic Pistol Class is $225 per person (includes Range Fee), ammunition must be supplied or paid for separately. This is a BASIC level class, introducing the mechanical operation of a modern firearm and the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. This introductory course covers safe firearms handling, pistol & ammunition knowledge, and marksmanship fundamentals. 8 hrs includes Range time, and takes place at an outdoor range in Piru, CA. This is a GROUP Class and needs a minimum of 5 students.

Bridge to CCW Class $295

6hrs

The "Bridge to CCW" Class is $295 per person (includes Range Fee), ammunition must be supplied or paid for separately. This class is PRIVATE (one-on-one or up to two associated individuals--such as a husband & wife). It is considered an "Intermediate" level class, suited to those who would like to gain the fundamental skills towards Concealed Carry. The course reviews basic marksmanship skills and builds on those to incorporate handgun manipulations from a Self-Defense/Fighting standpoint (working from concealment, clearing common handgun malfunctions during a fight, basic movement tactics, etc.).
The "Bridge to CCW" Class takes place in two sessions (3 hours each). The first session is typically held at the student's home or office to provide guidance on safe dry-fire practice protocols to maintain their firearms handling skills in the future. The second session is the Live-Fire portion of the class, and takes place at an outdoor range in Piru, CA.

 

All outdoor excursions have a 75% deposit due at time of booking, Balance to be charged at completion of services.

Deposit is Refundable (with a 10% Cancellation Fee) if cancelled AT LEAST 72 hrs BEFORE RESERVED DATE.
